What is Music Therapy?
Music therapy is the skillful use of music and musical elements by an accredited music therapist to promote, maintain, and restore mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
Certified Music Therapists
The Canadian Association for Music Therapy (CAMT) awards the designation Music Therapist Accredited (MTA) to individuals who:
Have completed a music therapy degree program
Have completed a 1000-hr supervised internship placement
Have been reviewed and accepted by the CAMT accreditation review board
Meet their ongoing continuing education requirements and
Abide by the CAMT Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
